The event will feature headlining instructors Kelli Wilkerson and Stephen Sayer, alongside Laura Evans and Paul Riding at the CLARA in Sacramento. The event will focus on Soul Lindy and Blues, offering two simultaneous workshops from 10:00am to 4:00pm: one Soul Lindy and Blues musicality track and the other track will be focused on Soul Lindy Vocab and Technique. The goal is to elevate participants' Soul Lindy and Blues skills, with top-tier instructors covering technique, fundamentals, and musicality.
Before the Social dance we will have a Lindy Hop Movin’ and a Groovin’ class that will be taught by TBD from 7:00pm to 8:00 pm before the social dance. Social Dance with DJ Gary Sharpe will run from 8:00pm to 11:00pm. Wrap party afterward at IHOP.
In addition to the workshops, a Mix and Match competition will be held, adding a fun, competitive element to the event. Preliminaries will take place outside of social dance hours, judged by local instructors. Finals will be held at 9:15 pm during the social dance, which will be judged by Kelli Wilkerson, Stephen Sayer, Laura Evans, and Paul Riding.
